Call for papers/Topics All Abstracts, Reviews, short articles, Full articles, Posters are welcomed related with any of the following research fields: 1. Environmental Biotechnology & Bioprocess Engineering In-Situ and Ex-Situ Bioremediation: Microbial degradation of organic pollutants, bio-attenuation, landfarming, biopiles, and phytoremediation (using plants to extract or stabilize heavy metals and soil contaminants). Bio-Augmentation and Bio-Stimulation: Nutrient addition, oxygen sparging, and targeted microbe inoculation to accelerate ecosystem recovery. Genetic Engineering for Environmental Applications: Construction of genetically engineered microbes (GEMs) for toxic waste breakdown, synthetic biology applications, and biosecurity protocols. Biofilm Engineering: Utilization of beneficial biofilms in fixed-film reactors alongside anti-fouling technologies for industrial heat exchangers and pipelines. 2. Water & Wastewater Resource Recovery Biological Wastewater Treatment: Activated sludge systems, membrane bioreactors (MBR), moving bed biofilm reactors (MBBR), and anaerobic digestion processes. Nutrient Recovery & Micro-Pollutant Treatment: Biological nitrogen and phosphorus removal, advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), treatment of pharmaceuticals, and microplastic filtration. Desalination and Advanced Purification: Reverse osmosis, electrodialysis, biomimetic water purification membranes, and zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems. Ecological Water Engineering: Constructed wetlands, natural bio-filtration systems, stormwater retention hydraulics, and watershed management. 3. Solid Waste Valorization & Circular Economy Bioenergy and Biofuels: Anaerobic digestion for biomethane, algal biofuel harvesting, cellulosic ethanol production, and bio-hydrogen conversion. Organic Waste Composting & Bioconversion: Aerobic digestion, vermicomposting, black soldier fly larvae bioconversion, and organic soil amendment production. Resource Recovery & Thermal Treatment: Pyrolysis, gasification, biochar production, waste-to-energy systems, and urban mining of critical materials. Upcycling & Bioplastics: Industrial fermentations converting organic waste streams into polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) and polylactic acid (PLA). 4. Air Quality Management & Bioprocess Control Biological Air Treatment: Biofilters, biotrickling filters, and bioscrubbers for controlling volatile organic compounds (VOCs), hydrogen sulfide, and industrial odors. Industrial Emission Abatement: Cyclones, electrostatic precipitators, particulate baghouses, and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) for flue gas purification. Atmospheric Chemistry & Modeling: Dispersion modeling, aerosol mechanics, photo-chemical smog dynamics, and indoor air quality (IAQ) ventilation design. 5. Environmental Diagnostics, Biosensors, & Monitoring Bio-Sensors & Bio-Assays: Enzymatic and cell-based sensors, whole-cell biosensors for heavy metal detection, microfluidics (lab-on-a-chip), and toxicity assays. Environmental Analytical Chemistry: High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, and field-deployable spectroscopy. Environmental Genomics & Metagenomics: Environmental DNA (eDNA) sampling, high-throughput sequencing of microbial communities, and metabolic profiling of ecosystems. Remote Sensing & Spatial Analysis: Geographic Information Systems (GIS), drone-based ecological surveillance, satellite imagery processing, and environmental internet-of-things (IoT) sensing arrays. 6. Biosystems, Ecological Engineering, & Sustainable Agriculture Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA): Hydroponics, aquaponics, vertical farming systems, and automated microclimate control. Soil Health and Regenerative Engineering: Biological nitrogen fixation, soil carbon sequestration techniques, erosion prevention, and mycorrhizal fungi applications. Ecological Restoration & Eco-Hydrology: Stream restoration design, reforestation strategies, habitat reconstruction, and coastal defense systems. Agricultural Pollution Control: Agricultural run-off management, diffuse source pollution mitigation, and livestock manure bio-treatment. 7. Industrial Ecology & Life Cycle Assessment Life Cycle Assessment (LCA): Cradle-to-grave analysis, carbon and water footprinting, environmental product declarations (EPD), and impact modeling. Circular Bioeconomy Design: Industrial symbiosis networks, closed-loop manufacturing systems, zero-waste process engineering, and eco-design protocols. Risk Assessment & Environmental Toxicology: Ecotoxicology testing, dose-response modeling, occupational exposure monitoring, and human health risk assessment. 8. Climate Change Engineering & Policy Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS): Algal carbon capture ponds, bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS), direct air capture (DAC), and enhanced weathering techniques. Climate Adaptation & Resilience Infrastructure: Sea wall engineering, green urban infrastructure (cool roofs, bio-swales), and flood warning/mitigation systems. Environmental Regulations & Policy: Environmental impact assessments (EIA), carbon market trading mechanisms, regulatory compliance framework, and international environmental treaties
