DESCRIPTION
As the second half of the 2000s is rapidly approaching, the cornerstones of the modern international system are facing numerous asymmetric security challenges caused by globalization, such as pandemics, natural disasters, climate change, economic crises, terrorism, and the spread of artificial intelligence technologies. In this context, global and local levels of security issues are in constant interaction. Thus, it becomes inevitable for security studies scholars to go beyond analyzing current developments and make projections on security issues that closely concern the future of humanity.
While we are going through a period in which the balance of power in the international system is shaken, geopolitical concerns come to the fore again. The validity of international norms and international institutions is questioned, the 4rd International Security Congress will discuss the future of global security and alternative systems/models to global security and global justice. In this context, this conference aims to reveal the future of global security by understanding the opportunities and challenges of the new era and discussing new trends in the system.
