DESCRIPTION
Call for papers/Topics Full Articles/ Reviews/ Shorts Papers/ Abstracts are welcomed in the following research fields: 1. Independent Core Fields These topics represent the foundational, standalone knowledge unique to each specific discipline. A. Nursing Sciences Foundations of Nursing Care: Nursing process (Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation), fundamental nursing skills, patient hygiene, and comfort. Nursing Specialties: * Adult and Geriatric Nursing Pediatric and Neonatal Nursing Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing Obstetric and Gynecological Nursing Perioperative and Critical Care Nursing Community and Public Health Nursing: Home healthcare, epidemiology in nursing, preventive healthcare, and occupational health. Nursing Leadership and Management: Ward management, healthcare resource allocation, nursing ethics, and delegation. B. Pharmaceutical Sciences Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery: Formulation science, biopharmaceutics, novel drug delivery systems (like nanotechnology), and manufacturing. Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy: Drug design and synthesis, structure-activity relationships (SAR), and natural product drug discovery. Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics: Drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion (ADME), and mechanisms of drug action. Regulatory Affairs and Industrial Pharmacy: Quality assurance, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), patent law, and FDA/EMA approval processes. C. Medical Sciences Foundational Human Biology: Human anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry. Pathology and Pathophysiology: Disease mechanisms, cellular injury, inflammation, and genetic disorders. Clinical Medicine and Surgery: Internal medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, cardiology, oncology, and neurology. Diagnostic Sciences: Medical imaging (Radiology, MRI, CT), clinical laboratory sciences (Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology), and biopsy interpretation. 2. Interrelated & Overlapping Fields These topics sit at the intersection of two or more of these disciplines, requiring collaboration and shared expertise. A. Intersection of Nursing and Pharmaceutical Sciences Clinical Pharmacology for Nurses: Safe medication administration, calculation of dosages, monitoring for adverse drug reactions (ADRs), and patient education on drug compliance. Pharmacovigilance in Clinical Settings: Nurse-led reporting of side effects and post-marketing surveillance of medications. Advanced Practice Prescribing: The expanding role of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in prescribing medications, requiring deep knowledge of therapeutics. B. Intersection of Pharmaceutical and Medical Sciences Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics: Translating laboratory drug discovery into clinical medical treatments for specific diseases. Translational Medicine: Moving a drug concept "from bench to bedside," bridging laboratory pharmaceutical research with clinical patient trials. Toxicology: The study of poisons, drug overdoses, adverse drug interactions, and emergency medical counter-measures. C. Intersection of Medical and Nursing Sciences Patient Care and Diagnostics: The collaborative process where physicians diagnose and prescribe medical interventions, while nurses execute, monitor, and manage holistic patient care. Advanced Pathophysiology: The shared understanding of disease progression required by both medical doctors and advanced practice nurses to make clinical decisions. Emergency and Trauma Care: Triage systems and acute medical interventions where physicians and nurses work in high-stress, synchronized teams. 3. The Tri-Disciplinary Nexus These macro-topics encompass all three fields, creating a unified healthcare ecosystem. Clinical Trials and Research: Medical scientists design the trials, pharmaceutical scientists develop the investigational drugs, and clinical research nurses manage patient protocols and drug administration. Healthcare Informatics: The integration of digital health records, pharmacy dispensing systems, and nursing documentation to improve patient outcomes. Bioethics and Healthcare Law: Shared ethical frameworks governing patient consent, human trial safety, compassionate drug use, and end-of-life care. Infection Control and Antimicrobial Stewardship: Medical specialists identifying pathogens, pharmacists managing optimal antibiotic selection to prevent resistance, and nurses implementing strict hygiene and administration protocols. Precision and Personalized Medicine: Utilizing genetic profiles (Medical/Pharmaceutical science) to tailor specific drug therapies, which are then managed and monitored by customized clinical care plans (Nursing).
